  • What’s your cancellation policy?
    Picnic It Up does not offer refunds for any services offered. We understand personal circumstances may change so we allow users to reschedule a booking. If you wish to reschedule a booking the new date must be within 90 days of the original booking.
  • How far in advance must I book my picnic?
    Parties of 2 guests require at least 3-day advance notice. Parties of 6 guests and under require at least 1 week-advance Parties over 6 guests must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Lets Chat! Sometimes we are able to accommodate last-minute requests, simply e-mail us, call us, or fill out out our form.
  • I booked my reservation, now what happens the day of the event?"
    Picnic It Up will arrive to your preferred location 1 hour PRIOR to your event to set everything up. After set up, we then will head out 10 minutes prior to your arrival. We will return for clean-up when your event is over. All you have to do is show up and we’ll handle the rest.
  • Is food included in my picnic package?
    All of our picnic packages include a charcuterie grazing box and beverages! Please refer to our “add-ons” if you are interested in custom cakes, mini cheesecakes, cookies, etc. We also are able to pick-up your food from a nearby restaurant for a small pick-up fee.
  • What about bad weather?
    If there is a chance of inclement weather, we will allow you to move your event to your preferred indoor location or reschedule the booking to any future available date within 90 days of your original booking. Please reach out to us at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking to let us know you wish to reschedule.
  • Can I bring children?
    Little ones who will NOT need a table set-up can enjoy the experience for free! Please refer to our add-on list to add on a kids activity table
  • When is payment due?
    To reserve and secure your preferred date/time, a 50% non-refundable payment must be made within 48 hours of receiving your invoice. The remaining balance is due 72 hours before your event. Please refer to our Cancelation/Refund policy before booking!
  • Do I have to stay the full two-hours?
    You are not obligated to stay the entire two hours, however we request that you text us if you want to leave your picnic early. We will text you approximately 15 minutes before your reservation ends to let you know we are on our way to come clean up.
  • What if I am late to my picnic reservation?
    Your picnic time starts at the scheduled time that you selected at booking, regardless of the party’s arrival time. We will arrive on site right after your reservation time has ended to clean up! You may request additional time, please see our list of add-ons.
  • What areas do you serve?
    We are currently serving Reston, Herndon, Sterling, Ashburn, Chantilly, Centreville, Vienna, Leesburg, and Purcellville VA! There is a travel fee if you choose a location that is more than 10 miles outside of the 20147 area code (Picnic It Up headquarters) Questions? Email us at picnicitup22@gmail.com
  • Can we have a picnic in our backyard?
    Yes! Backyard picnics are the best way to really have privacy. Please let us know in the booking form if you would like a backyard picnic.
  • Can you insure a secluded area away from crowds?
    We try our best to find a good location in the park, but cannot guarantee that it will be completely secluded from other people in general.
